New Zealander Nicholas Afoa has just joined the London cast of Disney's The Lion King.

Nicholas had a promising career as a rugby player until a sporting injury turned his focus to his love of musical theatre. Nearly a decade later, the 29 year old was chosen from over four hundred hopefuls to play the role of Simba in the Australian production of The Lion King in 2013.

This month, Nicholas joins the London cast of The Lion King, it marks his second ever theatre role and his first visit to London.

Welcome Nicholas!
