Jamie Wilson, Entertainment One (eOne), Ramin Sabi and Belgrade Theatre Coventry are delighted to present the World Premiere of the Birmingham Repertory Theatre’s production of Nativity The Musical will return for it’s second touring season in 2018 following a successful tour in 2017.

Every child in every school has one Christmas wish, to star in a Nativity, and at St Bernadette’s School they’ve decided to mount a musical version! Join teacher Mr Maddens and his crazy assistant Mr Poppy as they struggle with hilarious children, unruly animals and a whole lot of sparkle and shine to make everyone’s Christmas wish come true. Featuring all of your favourite sing-a-long songs from the smash-hit films including Sparkle and Shine, Nazareth and One Night One Moment. Nativity musical promises to be the perfect feel-good comedy for all the family.

Simon Lipkin returns as the hilarious ‘Mr Poppy’ after delighting critics and audiences in the show last year. He will play the role for the entire run opening at The Belgrade Theatre, Coventry on 23 October and finishing at the Eventim Apollo in London on 31 December. Full Nativity musical tour dates below.

Danny Dyer Jo Brand Nativity The Musical

During the run of the show in London, Danny Dyer will star as Hollywood Producer and Jo Brand as The Critic. Jo will also play The Critic at the Festival Theatre in Edinburgh from 28 November to 2 December 2018.

Adam Thomas will  play the role of ‘Hollywood Producer’ from 31 October – 4 November in Liverpool and from 5 – 8 December in Stoke.

Charlie Brooks will play the role of ‘Hollywood Producer’ in Nottingham from 21-25 November.

Jake Wood will play the role of ‘Hollywood Producer’ in Oxford from 11 – 15 December.

Star casting for London and Scotland to be announced on Friday 14 September.

Scott Garnham will play ‘Mr Maddens’ and Ashleigh Gray will play ‘Jennifer Lore’. Joining them will be, Andy Barke, Andy Brady, Jamie Chapman, Jemma Churchill, Gary Davis, Kade Ferraiolo, Ashleigh Graham, Helena Pipe and Oscar Conlon-Morrey who will all perform the entire run with Simon Lipkin.

The adult company are joined by the following children aged 9 – 12 from across the Midlands as the pupils of ‘St Bernadette’s School’; Ami Bakayoko , Evie Bennell-Low, Niamh Brady, Demi Delord,  Joseph Duffy, Tommy Gallagher, Alexander Hogg,  Kheiri Isaac-Osmani, Betsy Jiggins, Ben Lee, Marlie Olivia Love, Harry Martin, Joshua Millard-Lloyd, Jasmine McKenna, Amy-Louise Mulhall, Celie Newman,  Gerald Ngwenya, Lyla Peters, Katelyn-Janet Rollason, Aston Sidwell, Nicholas Vakis and Angeli Yunesse Sagala.

Written and Directed by Debbie Isitt with music and lyrics by Nicky Ager and Debbie Isitt, Nativity The Musical is choreographed by Andrew Wright, designed by David Woodhead, with lighting design by Tim Mitchell, sound design by Tom Marshall and musical supervision and orchestrations by George Dyer.
