Keith Jack, Mica Paris and Jorgie Porter To Star in Fame UK Tour

Keith Jack, Mica Paris and Jorgie Porter are to star in Selladoor's Fame UK Tour starting in Manchester in July 2018.

Based on Alan Parker's film Fame which was a pop culture phenomenain the eighties. Fame the musical follows the lives of students at New York's High School of the Performing Arts as they navigate their way through the highs and lows, the romances and heartbreaks and the ultimate jots of life.

The 30th Anniversary Tour of Fame the musical will star Keith Jack as Nick Piazza, Mica Paris as Miss Sherman and Jorgie Porter as Iris Kelly.

Keith Jack is best known as runner-upon Any Dream Will do on BBC1. Subsequently he donned the famous coat for the Joseph and his Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat UK Tour. His other stage credits include Only The Brave (Edinburgh Fringe), HMS Pinafore (UK Tour), and Forever Plais (The Other Palace). Keith says; “I am really looking forward to performing the role of Nick in the UK Tour of Fame and I’m excited about working with Selladoor again”

Mica Paris has 10 hit singles and albums worldwide spanning a 30 year career. She is one of the UK's most respected female singers and has appeared on television programmes as diverse as Miss Marple - At Betram's Hotel (ITV) to Loose Women to Gok Wan's Miss Naked Beauty for Channel 4. Her stage credits include Sylvia in Love Me Tender (UK Tour), Mama Morton in Chicago (UK Tour), and The Vagina Monologues.  Mica says; ‘The movie Fame was a big favourite of mine because it really was the first glimpse of what the beginning process of becoming trained artist entailed - I’m so happy to be in the musical!’ Best known for her role as Theresa McQueen in the Channel 4 drama Hollyoaks, the Fame UK Tour marks Jorgie Porter's stage debut. Her television credits include Miss Croft in BBC's remake of Are You Being Served?, the 7th series of Dancing On Ice - Champion of Campions (ITV)  and I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here (ITV).  Jorgie says: ‘I am so excited to be making my stage debut playing Iris Kelly in Fame. The musical is one of my favourite ever films and I can't wait to open the show in Manchester, my home town. I've not had a chance to perform ballet for a long time, it's what I originally trained in - so I'm looking forward to getting my ballet shoes on!’

Keith, Mica and Jorgie will be joined by cast; Hayley Johnston, Stephanie Rojas, Molly McGuire, Jamal Crawford, Albey Brooks, Louisa Beadel, Simon Anthony, Alexander Zane, Katie Warsop, Dermot Canavan, Cameron Johnson, Rebecca French, Daisy Twells, Tom Mussell, Morgan Jackson, and Ryan Kayode.

Fame will be Directed and Choregraphed by Nick Winston with Design by Morgan Large, Lighting design by Prema Mehta and Sound Design by Ben Harrison. Mark Crossland is Musical Supervisor.

Please note Mica and Jorgie are scheduled to perform in fame until Mica Paris 02 Dec 2018 and Keith Jack until 16 Jun 2019.
