Following a critically acclaimed sell-out season this year at Regent's Park Open Air Theatre, Jesus Christ Superstar will return in Summer 2017 for a limited season of 41 performances.

Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's record-breaking rock opera tells the story of the last seven days in the life of Jesus Christ through the eyes of Judas Iscariot.

The production which was nominated for numerous awards and won the BBC Radio 2 Audience Award for Best Musical in the Evening Standard Awards was directed by Timothy Sheader, had design by Tom Scutt, choreography by Drew McOnie, musical direction by Tom Deering, lighting design by Lee Curran and sound design by Nick Lidster for Autograph.

Casting for the return season will be announced soon.

Tickets go on sale on 15 December 2016.
