Jennifer Saunders joins cast of Lady Windemere's Fan at Vaudeville Theatre

Jennifer Saunders joins the cast of Oscar Wilde's Lady Windemere's Fan at the Vaudeville Theatre

Jennifer Saunders is to play the Duchess of Berwick in Kathy Burke's eagerly  anticipated production of Oscar Wilde's Lady Windemere's Fan alongside Samantha Spiro and Kevin Bishop when it opens at the Vaudeville Theatre on 6 October 2017.

This will be the first time in over twenty years that the comedian, screenwriter and actor has appeared in the West End.

Samantha Spiro plays Mrs Erlynne. Best known for her playing a young Barbra Winsor in the BBC drama Babs and at the National in Cleo, Camping, Emmanuelle and Dick, Spiro continues to entertain through the hit comedy series Psychobitches.

Kevin Bishop is to play Lord Darlington. Last year Kevin starred in the BBC's remake of comedy classic Porridge. His other screen credits include The Tracey Ullman Show, Rebel Wilson's Super Fun Night and Peep Show.

Further casting is to be announced.
