Gypsy Starring Imedla Staunton To Transfer

Imelda Staunton as Mamma Rose. Photo Johan Persson Baz Bamigboye has reported in the Daily Mail today that the musical Gypsy starring Imelda Staunton will transfer to the Savoy Theatre for a 35 week run from March 30 to November 28. This production marks the first time that Gypsy has been seen in London since Angela Lansbury played the role 40 years ago. The production is directed by Jonathan Kent who directed Imelda and Michael Ball in the multi award winning production of Sweeney Todd which also hailed from Chichester Festival Theatre.
