A production of Follies is being staged by the National Theatre in February/ March 2019. Book Now!

One of the iconic scores of Stephen Sondheim will be performed at The Royal Albert Hall for one day only on April 28, 2015. Great seats are available through BritishTheatre.com for the matinee and evening performance of this unique special event.

Follies sees past performers of the Weismann Follies gathering in a crumbling Broadway theatre which is scheduled for demolition. With music and lyrics by Stephen Sondehim and a book by James Goldman, Follies focuses on two couples, Buddy and Sally and Ben and Phyllis who are attending the re-union.

It’s an evening of ghostly reminiscences, of revelations and of celebration as the former showgirls re-live their glory days.

Follies won seven Tony Awards for its original Broadway production and is considered one of Sondheims great scores containing songs including Broadway Baby, Losing My Mind, Could I Leave You? and I’m Still Here.

Follies will feature an incredible cast gathered together for this special occasion including Christine Baranski (Into The Woods, The Good Wife, Sybil), Anita Dobson (EastEnders, Chicago), Ruthie Henshall (Chicago, Les Miserables, Billy Elliot), Roy Hudd (Oliver!, Coronation Street), Lorna Luft (Follies, White Christmas), Stephanie Powers (Hart To Hart, The Girl from U.N.C.L.E) Russell Watson (Brit Award winning classical vocalist) and Betty Buckley (Sunset Boulevard, Cats) amongst many others.

Follies is directed by Carig Revel Horwood, choreographed by Andrew Wright and conducted by Gareth Valentine with the City of London Philharmonic Orchestra.
