Drama Desk Awards 2020 - Full List Of Winners

The Inheritance, A Strange Loop and Moulin Rouge are amongst the big winners at the 65th Annual Drama Desk Awards held virtually on the weekend.

The 65th Annual Drama Desk Awards took place virtually on 13 June honoring the best of Broadway, Off-Broadway and Off-off-Broadway in an abbreviated 2019-20 season.

One of the big winners this year was the Pulitzer Prize-winning musical A Strange Loop by Michael R Jackson which took home five awards, including Outstanding Musical, Outstanding Book of a Musical and Outstanding Lyrics, Outstanding Lead Actor in a Musical went to star Larry Owens, and Outstanding Director of a Musical to Strange Loop's Stephen Brackett.

Also winning five awards each were Moulin Rouge! the musical and Matthew Lopez's play The Inheritance which won Best Play.

Little Shop Of Horrors and A Soldier's Play won Outstanding Revival of a Musical and Play respectively.

Adrienne Warren won for Outstanding Actress in a Play for Tina! the musical, a role which she originated when the show opened in London's West End.  Laura Linney won Outstanding Solo Performance for her work in My Name Is Lucy Barton which she also performed at the Bridge Theatre in London.
