Finding Neverland is coming to London in 2017

Following a successful run on Broadway, Finding Neverland, a new musical based on the popular film which starred Johnny Depp and Kate Winslett is rumoured to be landing in London in 2017. Finding Neverland follows playwright J M Barrie and tells the story of the creation of Peter Pan and the amazing place that is Neverland. The musical has an original score by award-winning songwriter Gary Barlow of Take That fame and Grammy Award winner Eliot Kennedy. Kerry Ellis and Ramin Karimloo To Headline Godspell Gala

Ramin Karimloo and Kerry Ellis to star in Godspell in Concert at St Paul's Church

Ramin Karimloo, Kerry Ellis and Preeya Kalidas will headline a concert production of Stephen Schwartz’s musical Godspell at St Paul’s Church in Covent Garden. The concert presentation will launch The British Theatre Academy, an organisation which has been set up to give young people who can not afford to access theatre theatre training the opportunity to work with top creatives in venues around the country. British Theatre Academy Artistic Director Matthew Chandler said: “I am delighted that Kerry, Ramin and Preeya are giving our kids the opportunity to work with such amazing, inspiring, world class talents. Godspell promises to be an unforgettable expeience for them all”. Godspell, will be directed by Dean Johnson with musical direction by Michael Bradley (Grey Gardens). The producers of Funny Girl at the Savoy Theatre in London have just released the following statement:- We are delighted to welcome Sheridan Smith back to Funny Girl this evening. It is currently planned that Sheridan will also play this Saturday evening (not matinee), and Monday to Saturday next week (excluding the Wednesday matinee and Thursday evening performances at which Natasha J Barnes will perform). From the week commencing 18 July, Sheridan is scheduled to perform Tuesday through Saturday, with Natasha playing Fanny Brice on Monday evenings. This schedule is subject to change, but we look forward to continuing to entertain audiences at the Savoy Theatre until our run ends on 8 October. Mark Rylance Returns To West End in Nice Fish

Producer Sonia Friedman has announced the West End transfer of Nice Fish, the critically-acclaimed new comic play by Mark Rylance and Louis Jenkins. The production will be directed by Clare van Kampen who previously wrote Farinelli and The King. Nice Fish has played to Sold Out houses at the American Repertory Theatre at Harvard University, Cambridge and St Ann’s Warehouse in New York. Declan was the original lead in the London cast of Once (Phoenix), and has also appeared in Boy George’s musical Taboo (Venue Theatre), Rent (US tour and Broadway), American Idiot (Broadway) as well as on BBC’s EastEnders as Charlie Cotton. As a solo singer-songwriter, his album Record:BREAKUP was released as a live acoustic version in 2013.
