Final casting has been announced for the world premiere of Outlaws to In-Laws, seven one-act plays by leading gay writers dedicated to the struggles and joys of gay men connecting with each other over the last seven decades. From the darkest days of criminality to the legalising of gay marriage, the works by Jonathan Harvey, Jonathan Kemp, Joshua Val Martin, Matt Harris, Patrick Wilde, Philip Meeks and Topher Campbell each represent one of the decades from the 1950s to the present day. Simon-Anthony Rhoden has joined the cast of Kinky Boots taking on the role of Lola whilst Verity Rushworth has now joined the cast as Lauren. Recent new cast members also include Jed Berry, Momar Diagne, Lauren Drew, Dale Evans, Jordan Fox, Rosie Glossop, Keith Higham, Ben Jennings, Georgia Louise, Emma Odell, Anthony Reed and Dominic Tribuzio. Producers have announced the new cast for the West End transfer of acclaimed musical The Toxic Avenger. The acclaimed musical which played a sell-out season at the Southwark Playhouse will get its Scottish premiere with a run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe before transferring to the Arts Theatre in London for a limited ten week run. Joining Mark Anderson, who returns after starring to great acclaim as Melvin/Toxie in the original London production, are: Natalie Hope, Emma Salvo, Oscar Conlon-Morrey and Ché Francis with Peter Bindloss and Sophia Lewis as swings/understudies. Birmingham-based theatre company Breakthrough Theatre will bring The Life and Death of Marilyn Monroe to The Blue Orange Theatre in July 2017 as part of Birmingham Fest. The world premiere of this thrill filled, one-woman show is the perfect potion of laughter and raw truth. Marilyn’s story, told by Marilyn alone in her dressing room, not the girl in THAT white dress with the pouting red lips and the curvaceous figure. Marilyn Monroe stripped back and bare – just an ordinary girl telling her story. Following its recent opening Storyhouse Chester has revealed the first shows in its Spring Season for 2018, with major names in opera, comedy and dance coming to the new venue. The Saint Petersburgh Classic Ballet under the direction of Marina Medvetskaya will make its debut from 16 to 18 February with Giselle and Swan Lake. Natalie Anderson joins the cast of Fat Friends the musical UK tour.

Producer’s have announced that Natalie Anderson (Emmerdale, The Royal) will join the UK tour cast of Kay Mellor’s Fat Friends the musical when it opens in Leeds later this year. Natalie has also been seen on TV in programmes including The Biz and Wire In The Blood. She has also appeared on stage as Nessarose in Wicked (West End), Lady Capulet in Romeo and Juliet (West Yorkshire Playhouse) and as Tara in Exposure the musical at St James Theatre. Natalie will play the role of Lauren in Fat Friends – The Musical, a  role originated on screen by Emmerdale co-star Gaynor Faye.
