Jerry’s Girls Transfers to Jermyn St Theatre

It was announced today Jerry’s Girls will transfer to the Jermyn Street Theatre for a limited three week run from 12 to 31 May 2015. The show was a sell-out smash at the St James Studio ealrier this year. Jerry’s Girl features songs from musicals written by Jerry Herman, the Tony Award-winning composer and lyricist of shows including Hello Dolly!, Mame, Dear World, La Cage Aux Folles and Milk And Honey. The cast of Jerry’s Girls will feature Emma Barton (EastEnders, One Man Two Guvnors, Chicago), Ria Jones ( Cats, Les Miserables, Chess), and Sarah-Louise Young (voted one of Time Out’s Top Cabaret Acts). Originally presented as a small cabaret in New York, Jerry’s Girls was created by Herman and collaborator Larry Alford in 1981. Holborn Fire Forces Show Cancellations Tonight

Fire Holborn Closes Theatres

Several London shows have been cancelled tonight as a blaze took hold in Holborn. The blaze has left Holborn tube closed and the local area without power. Show affected at this time include Beautiful – The Carole King Musical, The Play That Goes Wrong and The Lion King. There is currently uncertainty about Charlie And The Chocolate Factory, and Gypsy. At the time of writing Mamma Mia! looked like it would be performing as normal. Patrons with tickets to shows in the Aldwych/ Covent Garden area are advised to check with the theatre first as to whether shows will be performing tonight. Curious Cast Celebrate Onesie Wednesday

Today is National Autism Awareness Week and the cast of The Curious Incident Of The Dog In the Night Time have shown support by taking part in Onesie Wednesday today, encouraging everyone to wear their onesies or pyjames to work to stand out for autism. Cast members Graham Butler, Sarah Woodward, Gay Soper, Roxanne Palmer, Sam Bond and Viv Acheampong gathered for a photo-call on the set of the show today. Graham Butler who plays Christopher in The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time said: “Me and my fellow cast mates are delighted to show our support for World Autism Awareness Week’s ‘Onesie Wednesday’. Yet another Sweeney Todd sets up shop in London this week on a vastly different scale to the intimate affair at Harrington’s Pie And Mash Shop on Shaftesbury Avenue. Starring Emma Thompson, Bryn Terfel, Matthew Seadon-Young, Katie Hall, Philip Quast, Jack North, Alex Gaumond, Rosalie Craig and John Owen-Jones, this production runs until April 12 at the London Colliseum. Hairspray UK Tour – Manchester And Liverpool On Sale Today

Tickets for Hairspray The Musical in Liverpool and Manchester go on sale today. This new production of the award-winning musical starts it UK tour in September 2015 at the Leicester Curve and will then tour to 29 venues across the UK. It’s Baltimore 1962, where Tracy Turnblad, a big girl with big hair and an even bigger heart, is on a mission to follow her dreams and dance her way onto national TV. Tracy’s audition makes her a local star and soon she is using her new-found fame to fight for equality, bagging local heartthrob Link Larkin along the way.
