Full casting has been announced today for the UK premiere of the Broadway musical Side Show at Southwark Playhouse this October. Joining the previously announced Louise Dearman and Laura Pitt-Pulford as conjoined twins Daisy and Violet Hilton, are Haydn Oakley as Terry Connor, Jay Marsh as Jake, Dominic Hodson as Buddy Foster, Christopher Howell as The Boss/Sir, Lala Barlow as Bearded Lady, Oliver Marshall as Dog, David Muscat as Human Pin Cushion, Nuwan Hugh Perera as Sheik Fakir, Agnes Pure as Snake Lady, Nuno Queimado as Reptile Man, Kirstie Skivington as Half Man Half Woman and Genevieve Taylor as Dolly Dimples. Producers have announced that Louise Dearman and Laura Pitt-Pulford will play conjoined twins Daisy and Violet Hilton in the much anticipated UK premiere of the Broadway musical Side Show at Southwark Playhouse. Inspired by the true story of conjoined twins Daisy and Violet Hilton, Side Show is a remarkable musical about love, acceptance and embracing the unique. Louise Dearman (Daisy) is best known for being the first actress to star as both Glinda and Elphaba in the hit musical Wicked, playing both roles to great acclaim in the West End. Following seasons at The Kennedy Centre and The La Jolla Playhouse, the re-imagined production of the 1997 Tony-nominated musical Side Show has begun previewing on Broadway at the St James Theatre. Side Show has a score by Dreamgirls composer Henry Kreiger, with book and lyrics by Tony nominee Bill Russell and additional book material by Director Bill Condon. Bill Condon who was director of the film Dreamgirls, makes his Broadway directorial debut with Side Show which officially opens on November 17. Side Show is inspired by the true story of the Hilton twins, Daisy and Violet, conjoined twins who in their time, were the highest paid performers on the vaudeville circuit. Erin Davie and Emily Padgett, who starred in both the Kennedy Centre and La Jolla productions reprise their roles as the Hilton Sisters.
