Following a critically acclaimed season last year, Dr Seuss’ The Lorax returns to the Old Vic and Manuel Harlan was on hand to bring us these great production images. This dazzlingly funny, moving and inspiring show sees the go-getting Once-ler come face to face with the magical Lorax in a battle over the beloved truffula trees and the whole of Paradise Valley. Adapted for the stage by David Greig with music and lyrics by Charlie Fink (Noah and the Whale Frontman), Dr. Seuss’s The Lorax is a brilliant riot of eye-popping colour, gorgeous puppetry and infectious music to enchant adults and children alike. Casting announced for return season of Dr Seuss’s The Lorax

The Old Vic has announced the cast for its upcoming return season of Dr Seuss’s The Lorax which will run from 15 October to 5 November 2017. The Lorax tickets are on sale now. Simon Paisley Day reprises his role as The Once-ler with David Ricardo-Pearce playing The Lorax alongside puppeteers Laura Caldow and Ben Thompson. The full cast includes Michael Ajao, Joseph Alessi, Josh Baker, Jack Beale, Hannah Fairclough, Owain Gwynn, Wendy Mae Brown, Kirsty Malpass, Kerri Norville, Ellena Vincent and Silas Wyatt-Barke. The Cat In The Hat, the acclaimed stage of Dr Seuss’s famous children’s character will return to the Pleasance Theatre, Islington this Christmas for a limited season from 6 December 2016 to 2 January 2017. Inspired by Dr. Seuss’s (The Cat In the Hat, How The Grinch Stole Christmas!) classic tale, The Lorax tells of a moustachioed and cantankerous critter who’s on a mission to protect the earth from the greedy, tree-chopping, Thneed-knitting businessman known only as The Once-ler. Adapted by David Greig and brought to the stage by acclaimed director Max Webster (James And The Giant Peach, To Kill A Mockingbird, Twelfth Night) with music by Charlie Fink (Noah and the Whale), The Lorax blends theatrical invention, songs by Charlie Fink (Noah and the Whale) and zany humour in a timely and vibrant Christmas show with a message that will speak to audiences of all ages. It has been announced that Simon Lipkin (Avenue Q, Assassins, I Can’t Sing, Rock Of Ages) will play the title role in David Greig’s adaptation of Dr Seuss’s The Lorax. Simon will perform alongside puppeteers Laura Cubitt and Ben Thompson, with Simon Paisley Day playing the role of the Once-ler. Inspired by Dr. Suess’s classic tale, Dr Suess’s The Lorax tells of a moutachioed and cantankerous critter who’s on a mission to protect the earth from the greedy, tree-chopping, Thneed-knitting businessman known only as the Once-ler.
