Major Cast Changes Announced For Les Miserables London
Now in its record breaking 33rd year, Cameron Mackintosh announces major cast changes for the London production of Les Miserables at the Queens Theatre. Les Miserables will undergo major cast changes from 11 June 2018. The show which is the World’s longest-running musical is now in its 33rd year and continues to run at the Queens Theatre. Dean Chisnall will star as Jean Valjean, Toby Miles will play Marius, Elena Skye will play Eponine, Vivien Parry will play Madame Thenardier and Amara Okereke will play Cosette. They will join Steven Meo as Thenardier and Carley Stenson as Fantine who are continuing in their roles. Bradley Jaden will star as Javert from 23 July 2018 when David Thaxton who is currently playing Javert leaves the show. Wicked releases new character portraits as it celebrates 12 years in London
Wicked the musical celebrates 12 years at London’s Apollo Victoria Theatre today and in celebration of this birthday producers have released stunning new principal cast portraits by photographer Darren Bell. Wicked currently stars Alice Fearn (Elphaba), Sophie Evans (Glinda), Bradley Jaden (Fiyero), Melanie La Barrie (Madame Morrible), Andy Hockley (The Wizard), Martin Ball (Doctor Dillamond), Sarah McNicholas (Nessarose), Jack Lansbury (Boq), Laura Pick (Standby for Elphaba) and Carina Gillespie (Standby for Glinda). Wicked has now played 4500 performances, being seen by over 8 million people in London alone. Wicked London has announced its 24th extension with 500,000 new tickets now available for performances until 1 December 2018 at the Apollo Victoria Theatre where it is already the 16th longest running show in West End theatre history. Now in its 11th smash hit year at London’s Apollo Victoria Theatre, the producers of Wicked have announced that Alice Fearn (Elphaba) and Sophie Evans (Glinda) will lead the new cast who start performances on Monday 24 July 2017. Also joining the cast are Bradley Jaden (Fiyero), Melanie La Barrie (Madame Morrible), Andy Hockley (The Wizard), Jack Lansbury (Boq) and Laura Pick (Standby for Elphaba), joining current cast members Martin Ball (Doctor Dillamond), Sarah McNicholas (Nessarose) and Carina Gillespie (Standby for Glinda). Alice Fearn (Elphaba) originally joined the London production of Wicked in 2016, as Standby for Elphaba, and will now assume the role.
