An open casting call for the upcoming production Motown The Musical attracted almost 200 people who auditioned for the chance to portray iconic legends of the Motown era. Motown The Musical recounts the story of one of the most successful music labels in history. Started with just $800 borrowed from his family, Berry Gordy changed music forever by discovering artists including Michael Jackson, Smokey Robinson, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder and Diana Ross. Motown The Musical features 50 Motown tracks including Dancing In The Street, Stop! In The Name Of Love, Ain’t No Mountain High Enough, My Girl and I Heard It Through The Grapevine. Motown The Musical is to open at the Shaftesbury Theatre in London's West End in February 2016

It was announced today that the Tony Award nominated show Motown The Musical will open at the Shaftesbury Theatre in London in February 2016. Motown features over 50 Motown classics made famous by artist including Michael Jackson, Diana Ross and the Supremes, Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson, Marvin Gaye and many more. Motown provided the soundtrack to a generation through hits such as Ain’t No Mountain High Enough, I’ll Be There, Dancing In The Street, Stop! In The Name Of Love, My Girl, I Heard It Through The Grapevine and For Once In My Life.
