Profile Information

What I do... (Actor, director, designer, teacher etc?)
RoguePlay Theatre is a theatre company operating in the midlands. We work regularly in both Birmingham and Leicester. Our work leans towards creating strong visual imagery often using physical theatre techniques as a starting point in rehearsals and devising. We are instinctively drawn to exploring narratives which explores the nature of human behaviour and relationships. We have a passion for new writing and adaptations with a focus on stories which we see as underpinning modern society. Past productions have seen us go from creating a comedy sketch show based on the anecdotal tales of life as an actress to a thought provoking site responsive installation piece exploring the ten commandments. As an ensemble, we hold many skills and also play host to regular nights of performance poetry, live music and comedy at the Mixing Bowl Theatre, Birmingham.
