Best of luck with your project; all success is success, nothing minor. Please share details going forward.
From my perspective, audio drama has some interactions and conventions different from stage. Audio cues are on top of each other whereas stage has a bit of air between lines. Stage actors sometimes need to get comfortable and often comment they are stepping on each other. For radio, that's okay.
The death knell in writing is narrative. Sprinkled in, the technique works well. Five pages might make audience switch the dial, end the podcast, or worse.
As someone who came late to performing, my first directing gig was at age 40 with brilliant actors who were and are light years ahead of me experience-wise, directing is about creating a platform for everyone else to shine. When the actors are applauded, and the sfx artists and musicians are raved over, my contribution is evident. Tough on the ego, but lots of folks seem to enjoy working with me.
