Profile Information

What I do... (Actor, director, designer, teacher etc?)
I'm a fantastic mutlifaceted arts venue based in the heart of Putney.
I'm home to Group 64 Youth Theatre for 5- 21yrs and Putney Theatre Company for adults.
My Quick CV
Putney Arts Theatre is a unique, practically self-supporting, organisation which welcomes all those with a love of theatre. Staging great productions throughout the year Putney Theatre Company provides plenty of opportunites to further develop your theatre skills. Whether it be acting, directing, stage management, set design, lighting, sound, costume and props they'll be something here for you!
The first thing that inspired me in theatre...
Once a disused abandoned church my roots in theatre where firmly placed since 1968, when the then Major of Wandsworth, Eleanor Goodrich, helped a vibrant youth theatre - Group 64 find it's home here. Since then I have grown to become a theatrical gem which is the envy of most fringe venues.
My favourite theatre something is...
All types and we host a wide array of activities and events under one roof.
The thing that annoys me about our industry...
How difficult it can be raising funds - we are a self-supporting, not-for-profit organisation.
