NEXT LAZARUS PRODUCTION;

Welcome to Lazarus Theatre Company, a company truly committed to producing the best in Classic Theatre for a Contemporary London Fringe audience.

Inspired by a broad and diverse range of material we hope that our work informs, inspires and provokes our audiences, offering a fresh and bold re-imagination of some of the greatest works ever written. Through the use of text, song, music and movement we hope to offer an exciting theatrical experience; our work involves ensemble storytelling with intimacy and detail at its heart.

Season 2010 will include Elizabethan, Jacobean and Greek Drama, our work with movement and music will be expanded as will our reach to our audience with longer engagements and more productions. The creative team looks set to expand with an associate company being established over the course of the Season.

In this our forth year we look to keep building our links with theatres, practitioners and artists as well as the most important aspect of our work, our audience.

COMING NEXT;

John Webster's

THE WHITE DEVIL

9th November - 4th December 2010, The Blue Elephant Theatre.
8pm Tuesday - Saturday, 4pm Matinee on Wednesdays.
Tickets from just £10. www.blueelephanttheatre.co.uk

Following a hugely successful production of The Duchess of Malfi, Lazarus returns to John Webster to stage one of the finest and most complex Jacobean tragedies, The White Devil.

Vittoria, wife of Camillo is consumed in a decadent and dangerous love affair with Bracciano, Duke and husband to Isabella. Their intoxicating game of lust and sexual obsession leads to the destruction of the court and their own existence.

This passionate and tragic piece will be played by a large ensemble who through the use of text, movement and music create the debauchery and decay of the Italian Court. The hunt is on for The White Devil.

Directed and Designed by Ricky Dukes

Thoroughly enjoyed Hecuba, a precise and rich production in keeping with the 2 previous Lazarus shows I've seen.
