Leeds based professional theatre company Cento Productions was founded in 2006

Cento’s name is derived from the Latin, cento, which meant mosaic or patchwork garment, and has come to mean a literary work compiled from other works.

Cento recognised production and performance as their forte and have been commissioning new pieces for performance.

Script Night Format
The Script Night format, in which 5 to 10 minute plays are performed script-in-hand, but fully staged, by professional local actors, evolved from discussions with The Carriageworks and has proved popular with growing audiences since Cento’s first Script Night outing in October 2007 and are now produced once a season at the venue.

Currently Planning 2010 productions and ventures.

We're just started to negotiate a radio slot for this year's I Love West Leeds Festival and will be looking for writers. The festival doesn't start till towards the end of the summer but we'll start calling for writers very soon.

Hi all,

Just another update. We're still deciding on what projects/performances to do this year. I'm certain there will be 1 or 2 summer opportunities but as yet we're still planning.

Welcome all who's joined the group!

Festival went well despite all the background politics and literally about 3 full rehearsals before the show. At any rate, pulled off well without any hitches.
