It's that time of the year again when the Udderbelly Festival (Until 17 July) and the London Wonderground (until 25 September) come to the South Bank.
We've picked out a couple of the shows we are looking forward to seeing:-
Gobsmacked
Gobsmacked is the UK’s answer to Pentatonix. Featuring three times and current reigning beatbox world champion Ball Zee, This all-singing theatrical experience pushes vocal boundaries to deliver a slick, musically accomplished, high energy spectacular with not a single musical instrument to be seen... Only the human voice.
Thursday 16 June - Sunday 17 July
Austentatious - The Improvised Jane Austen Novel In each show, the all-star cast improvise a brand new Jane Austen work before your eyes, based only on audience suggestions. Previous 'lost' masterpieces have included Sixth Sense and Sensibility, Double 0 Darcy and Mansfield Shark.
Prepare to get your bonnet in a twist. (Swooning guaranteed).
Austentatious are Edinburgh Fringe sell-outs 2013, 2014 and 2015, and Chortle award winners 2014. As heard on BBC Radio 2 and BBC Radio 4 Extra.
Wednesday 22, Thursday 30 June, 7 & 14 July 2016
Barbu
Daring, daft, and sexy as hell: this is cabaret, but not as you know it.
Packed with astonishing acrobatics and perfectly-groomed beards, BARBU is 'the most fun you'll have in a tent this year' (The Scotsman).
Performed by one of the world's greatest circus companies – Canada's Cirque Alfonse – it takes edge-of-your-seat, off-the-wall entertainment to a whole other level.
Set to a heart-thumping musical score, circus and mayhem collide in an adventure filled with almighty skills and muscular torsos.
Having delighted crowds with their madcap lumberjack circus Timber! in 2013, Cirque Alfonse bring BARBU to London Wonderground following its critically acclaimed premiere at the 2015 Edinburgh Fringe.
Until 25 September
