Jackson’s Lane

The Jacksons Lane theatre is housed in a Methodist church which has been in the heart of the Highgate area since 1905. The theatre was opened in in 1976 by local residents who wanted to provide activities for their children.

Since then the theatre has grown into a thriving performing arts venue for new circus theatre companies, dance companies, children’s theatre, and comedy performances (including Matt Lucas and David Walliams’ first public performance as a duo). Keeping true to its roots, the theatre also offers over 50 arts-based courses, classes and activities for the community.

The theatre has six spaces including its main 160-seat theatre. These spaces are multi-purpose and house large dance and rehearsal rooms.
