The uber-talented Layton Williams is about to take over the lead in hit musical Everybody’s Talking About Jamie from 28 January 2019. As the award-winning musical Every Body’s Talking About Jamie approaches it’s first birthday in London’s West End, producers have announced that Layton Williams will take over the role of Jamie New from 28 January 2019. Layton made his professional stage debut in Billy Elliot the musical, appeared in the TV series Beautiful People, and has since appeared in stage productions including The Car Man, the UK tour of Hairspray playing Duane and later Seaweed and the UK tour of Rent playing Angel. Everybody’s Talking About Jamie premiered at the Crucible Theatre, Sheffield on 13 February 2017 before transferring to London’s Apollo Theatre from 6 November 2017. The 50th anniversary production of Arthur Miller’s The Price will transfer to the West End following an acclaimed season from the Theatre Royal Bath. Two brothers, Victor and Walter Franz, one a New York cop nearing retirement, the other a successful surgeon, meet for the first time in sixteen years to sell their family furniture stored in the attic of a condemned New York brownstone. Winners have been announced for the UK Theatre Awards 2018 at a ceremony hosted by Tyrone Huntley at London’s Guildhall. At today’s UK Theatre Awards 2018 ceremony Manchester’s Royal Exchange Theatre won in four categories, including The Almighty Sometimes which won Best New Play and Three Sisters which won Best Touring production. The Assassination of Katie Hopkins was awarded Best Musical Production, with strong competition from other nominees Miss Littlewood from the RSC, Pieces of String produced by the Mercury Theatre Colchester and TBO Productions, and the Bolton Octagon’s Summer Holiday. The UK Theatre Awards recognise achievements in theatre across Scotland, Wales, England and Northern Ireland. One Night With… is an exciting new West End after-hours event that will allow fans to get up close and personal with some of the biggest musical theatre stars. Charlie Stemp and Danielle Hope complete the all-star casting for this year’s London Palladium pantomime Snow White. QDOS Entertainment has announced that Charlie Stemp will return to the London Palladium’s family pantomime Snow White as The Prince together with Danielle Hope as Snow White.
