Cameron Mackintosh Hints At A West End Return For Mary Poppins

In an appearance on The One Show on BBC One this week promoting his new show Half A Sixpence, the world's most successful producer Sir Cameron Mackintosh hinted that Mary Poppins may be headed back to the West End.

The award-winning musical which is a co-production between Disney Theatrical and Cameron Mackintosh has been touring the UK and is now headed to Dubai and Zurich in 2017.

Featuring many of the classic Sherman Brothers songs from the classic Disney film, the musical features a new book by Downton Abbey creator Julian Fellowes based on PL Travers original books and new songs and song revisions by acclaimed musical theatre duo George Stiles and Anthony Drewe.

No theatre was named nor any other details revealed but we'll be keeping our ears to the group and will keep you informed.
